American Electric Karting League (AEKL) – Refund & Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change — life happens! Below is a clear overview of how refunds, cancellations, and changes work for your AEKL race bookings.
🎟️ 1. Seat Reservation Fee (Deposit)
A deposit of up to 500 USD is non-refundable. It secures your kart, equipment, and logistics for that event.
📅 2. Cancelling or Changing Your Race Stage
If you cancel 15 or more days BEFORE the race stage:
You can request a refund for the remaining balance (i.e., any amount paid above the $500 deposit).
Refunds will be processed within 30 days of approval.
Please note that bank fees, PayPal/credit card fees, and admin costs will be deducted.
If you cancel LESS than 15 days BEFORE the race stage:
Refunds are not guaranteed at this point.
If we can resell your spot to another driver, you may be eligible for a partial refund (based on the portion of the package cost that we can recover, minus administrative fees).
If your spot is not filled, unfortunately, the full payment may become non-refundable.
📝 3. How to Request a Refund
All refund or cancellation requests must be submitted in writing (via email or official form).
Requests are considered valid only when confirmed in writing by Blue Shock Race (BSR).
Verbal cancellations or last-minute “no-shows” do not qualify for a refund.
⏳ 4. Refund Processing
Approved refunds may take up to 30 calendar days to process.
Non-recoverable costs (such as transaction fees) will always be deducted.
🚩 5. Missed Payment or No-Show
Full balance is due 10 days before each race stage.
If payment is not received on time:
- BSR may release your reserved spot without notice.
- Any paid amounts (deposit or partial payments) will be non-refundable.
If you do not appear on race weekend without providing a written cancellation, no refunds will be applied.
🌧️ 6. Event Cancellation or Rescheduling (Force Majeure)
If a race stage is canceled or rescheduled due to: Weather, Safety concerns, Track closure, Pandemic restrictions, Force majeure (unforeseen circumstances)
BSR will offer fair solutions — options may include:
Moving your entry to a new date
Applying payment as a credit for a future race
Offering a partial refund (depending on what costs have already been incurred for your entry)

Please respect deadlines so we can run great events and help drivers fairly.
The above policy helps us balance fair refunds for drivers and financial commitments BSR makes to tracks, staff, transport, and equipment.
