CHAMPIONSHIP PRIZES & BENEFITS
American Electric Karting League (AEKL)
This Appendix defines the official prize structure, awards, and performance-based benefits for the American Electric Karting League Championship.
It complements and operates in conjunction with the Official Championship Point System & Regulations and the Licensed Championship Team Agreement.
All prizes are designed to reward sporting excellence, consistency, professionalism, and long-term commitment, while creating strong emotional value and a clear legacy within the BSR global ecosystem.
1. DRIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP
Prizes & Recognition
1.1 American Champion Title (by Class)
Each Championship class (X3, X4, X5) crowns one American Champion per Season.
The Champion is determined based on:
- the best five (5) event results of the Season;
- the driver with the highest total championship points in their respective class.
Champion Awards & Benefits
The American Champion of each class receives:

Official Championship Title
American Electric Karting League Champion – [Class] -
Championship Trophy
A unique, season-specific Champion Trophy. -
Racing Number Privilege
The right to select and reserve a racing number free of charge for the following Championship Season. -
Free Championship Participation
Complimentary entry to all five (5) AEKL Championship rounds in the following Season. -
Tyre Support
One free tyre set per event for all Championship rounds participated in during the following Season. -
International BSR Race Seat
One fully sponsored “Arrive & Drive” race seat at a selected BSR Global Event in: - Europe,
- Australia,
- or another BSR-approved international location.
Including:
- race entry fee;
- kart allocation;
- technical support.
Estimated total prize value: up to USD 10,000 per Champion.
This structure ensures that Champions are rewarded not only with recognition, but with real progression opportunities, international exposure, and reduced financial barriers.
1.2 Additional Driver Achievement Awards
(Special Recognition Trophies)
In addition to the main Championship title, the following official achievement awards are presented at the end of each Season.
Each award is accompanied by a special, unique trophy, designed specifically for the achievement.
Vice Champion Award (P2)
- Awarded to the second-place driver in each Championship class.
- Recognizes season-long performance, consistency, and competitiveness.
- Reinforces motivation to fight for top positions until the final round.
Rookie of the Year
- Awarded to the best-performing first-year driver in the Championship.
- Eligible drivers are those competing in their first full AEKL Season.
- Rewards rapid adaptation, development, and competitive potential.
Iron Driver Award
- Awarded to the driver who participates in all official Championship rounds during the Season.
- Recognizes:
- commitment;
- reliability;
- endurance;
- professionalism.
This award highlights that consistency and dedication are as valuable as outright speed.
1.3 Additional Sponsored Driver Awards
Throughout the Season, drivers may receive:
- sponsor prizes;
- special awards;
- performance-based incentives.
These awards are allocated according to:
- the official AEKL Sponsorship Activation Plan;
- sponsor-specific objectives and campaigns.
2. TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
Technology Cup – Team Awards
The Team Championship is contested under the Technology Cup, emphasizing: technical excellence, team depth, consistency, professional team operations.
2.1 Technology Cup – Championship Prizes
At the end of the Season, the Top 3 Teams in the overall Team Championship standings receive:

USD 10,000 BSR Technology Credit -
2nd Place Team
USD 5,000 BSR Technology Credit -
3rd Place Team
USD 2,000 BSR Technology Credit
BSR Technology Credits may be used exclusively for: upgrading team equipment, technical components, BSR products and systems, strengthening the team’s technical base for the following Season.
Philosophy:
This award structure directly supports the strongest and most professional teams, reinforcing BSR’s role as a technology partner, not merely a race organizer.
2.2 Additional Team Sponsor Awards
Teams may also receive:
- sponsor-backed prizes;
- technical support incentives;
- promotional or commercial rewards.
Allocation is determined by:
- sponsor agreements;
- AEKL’s official sponsorship strategy;
- team performance and visibility.
3. BSR WORLD CUP & HALL OF CHAMPIONS
BSR World Cup Trophy
BSR establishes an official BSR World Cup Trophy, serving as the ultimate symbol of achievement across all BSR electric karting championships worldwide.
- The trophy permanently displays the names of all Season Champions from:
- American Electric Karting League;
- European BSR Championships;
- Australasian BSR Championships;
- other official BSR global championships.
- Each Season, the name of every Champion is ceremonially engraved or mounted onto the World Cup Trophy.
- The World Cup Trophy is permanently housed at the BSR manufacturing facility, forming the foundation of the BSR Hall of Champions.
- At each Championship Final: Champion names are added during a formal ceremony, reinforcing legacy and global connection.
This creates a shared global heritage, uniting all BSR Champions into a single, permanent Hall of Fame and elevating each title beyond a single Season or region.
